Director Raju Murugan of the National award winning film Joker (2016) fame, is directing actor Karthi in a film titled Japan, and the movie is touted to be a heist thriller with the lead star playing dual-tone characters. Ahead of Karthi's 45th birthday on May 25 i.e. tomorrow, the makers of Japan have announced an exciting update from the movie.

Dream Warrior Pictures are expected to officially confirm Japan's Diwali release this year (as previously reported) by unveiling the film's release date [Keep watching this space].  Japan - the movie is scheduled  to release in Tamil and dubbed Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. The film has Anu Emmanuel playing female lead, GV Prakash for music.

Other movies that are potentially lined-up to clash with Japan are Shankar, Kamal Haasan's Indian 2, Dhanush's Captain Miller and Ayalaan starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead.
