"It Would Be My Father Only" - Jason Sanjay's Words Silence Rumours About His Relationship with Vijay

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay may have stepped away from cinema, but his son Jason Sanjay has made clear that his admiration for his father's star power hasn't dimmed one bit. In a recent interview with Behindwoods TV, Jason was asked which Indian actor he would cast opposite Jason Statham in a Hollywood film — and without missing a beat, he said, "It would be my father only."

Calling the pairing "a good combination," Jason added with a smile, "I hope he watches this interview," directing the message at Statham himself.

The moment carries a significance beyond its playful charm. Earlier this year, Vijay and Sankgeetha's ongoing divorce proceedings had triggered widespread speculation about the state of his relationship with his children, Jason and Dhivya. The fact that neither was seen at Vijay's swearing-in ceremony as Chief Minister only added fuel to those rumours. Jason's warm and affectionate reference to his father in this interview, however, appears to put those speculations firmly to rest — an indirect but clear signal that the bond between father and son remains very much intact.

Jason Sanjay is currently making his own mark in the industry with Sigma, his directorial debut starring Sundeep Kishan. Originally scheduled for July 31, the film was postponed following Jana Nayagan's release, with a new date expected in August.
