Prime Video has announced that Vadhandhi Season 2, subtitled The Mystery of Mani, will premiere on August 7. The new season shifts the story to Madurai and stars Sasikumar in the lead as SI Moosa Raaza, who is tasked with investigating mysterious skeletal remains discovered during a project inauguration. His investigation leads him to an elusive prisoner named Mani, setting off a chain of chaotic twists.
Created, written and directed by Andrew Louis, the series is produced by Pushkar-Gayathri under Wallwatcher Films. Pushkar-Gayathri praised Sasikumar and the cast for delivering performances that add depth to the narrative, while describing Season 2 as building on the franchise's blend of suspense, truth and perception in an exciting new direction.
The cast includes returning actor Vivek Prasanna alongside Yashwanth, Anagha Maruthora, Aparna Das and others. The first season, set in Kanyakumari and starring SJ Suryah, had followed the disappearance of a young girl named Velonie.
