Jana Nayagan has crossed Rs 170 crore at the worldwide box office in just three days, with Saturday registering a strong 34.7 per cent jump over Friday's collections. The H Vinoth directorial is now on course to enter the Rs 100 crore India net club on its first Sunday.

The film's cumulative India gross stands at Rs 108 crore after three days, with Tamil Nadu contributing the lion's share at Rs 61 crore, followed by Karnataka at Rs 19 crore, Kerala at Rs 10 crore and Andhra Pradesh-Telangana at Rs 8 crore. The overseas market has added an impressive Rs 63 crore, taking the worldwide gross to nearly Rs 172 crore.

The film opened to a massive Day 1 before the expected Friday dip, with Saturday's rebound setting up an even bigger Sunday. Directed by H Vinoth and starring Vijay alongside Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju and others, Jana Nayagan is shaping up as one of Tamil cinema's biggest blockbusters of the year.
