Hi, starring Nayanthara and Kavin in the lead, is now confirmed to release on August 14. The film marks the directorial debut of lyricist Vishnu Edavan, known for penning songs like 'Polakatum Para Para' from Master (2021) and 'Badass' from Leo (2023).

An official synopsis is yet to be revealed, but the posters and the newly released teaser accompanying the date announcement point to a story about neighbours who fall for each other.

The film also brings together late writer-actor Bhagyaraj, along with Radikaa Sarathkumar, Prabhu, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan, Amrutha Srinivasan, Adithya Kathir, Kureshi, FEFSI Vijayan, Kaavya Arivumani, and Mirchi Kemy in its cast.

Jen Martin is composing the music, while Rajesh Shukla handles cinematography, Philomin Raj takes on editing, and Sekar B leads the art direction.

Hi is jointly produced by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan under their Rowdy Pictures banner, along with SS Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studio, with Zee Studios also backing the project.
