The makers of Sardar 2 revealed the first look at Rajisha Vijayan's character in the film on Wednesday, coinciding with the actor's birthday. The poster shows her character Indhrani as a pregnant woman, with the makers wishing her "more blockbusters" in the caption.

Directed by PS Mithran, Sardar 2 brings back Karthi as spy Chandra Bose — "Once a spy always a spy," as the makers' promotional tagline reads. The film also stars SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath and Yogi Babu, with production having wrapped after over 100 days of filming across China and Cambodia.

Sam CS composes the music, with George C Williams on cinematography and Vijay Velukutty editing. Produced by Prince Pictures, Sardar 2 is set for a September 10 worldwide release across Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
