Sivakarthikeyan visited Chief Minister Joseph Vijay and expressed his wishes for a successful tenure, with the meeting sparking a wave of nostalgia on social media. Sharing photos from the visit, Sivakarthikeyan reflected on their shared journey — from hosting award shows where Vijay was a guest, to their memorable on-screen moment in GOAT, and now this meeting with the Chief Minister.

"From entertaining hearts to leading the state… some journeys are truly extraordinary. From Rasigan Express, to the Vijay Awards stage, to sharing the screen in GOAT… and now, this moment with you, sir. This will always be the most special," he wrote on X.

Their GOAT scene, where Vijay passes a gun to Sivakarthikeyan, had been widely interpreted as a symbolic passing of the baton — something Sivakarthikeyan addressed earlier by saying he saw it as appreciation from a senior colleague rather than a replacement.

Sivakarthikeyan is currently filming Seyon with director Sivakumar Murugesan, while Vijay's Jana Nayagan is set for a July 23 theatrical release.
