After years of uncertainty, Mysskin's Train has finally dropped a teaser and held its audio launch, signalling an imminent theatrical release. The teaser places Vijay Sethupathi in the middle of a high-stakes hostage rescue mission aboard a moving train, battling armed personnel in visceral action sequences. Narain appears as a police officer coordinating the rescue, while Shruti Haasan's role carries an intriguing ambiguity — her character is seen holding a gun, and a woman holds Vijay Sethupathi at gunpoint in another moment, sparking speculation about whether Shruti plays an antagonist.

The teaser evokes the energy of Hollywood train thrillers like The Taking of Pelham 123 and Snowpiercer, promising a taut action thriller. The makers have used the words "coming soon" in the teaser, fuelling hopes of a release announcement shortly.

Train went into production in 2023, wrapped in 2024, and has been awaiting release since. The film is produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu under V Creations, with Mysskin composing the music, Fowzia Fathima on cinematography and Sri Watson editing. The cast also includes Nasser, KS Ravikumar, Sampath Raj, Kalaiyarasan and others.
