A day before Anbe Diana — Pari Elavazhagan's second directorial and acting outing — hits theatres, actor Sivakarthikeyan watched the film and had warm words of praise for the romantic entertainer.
Million Dollar Studios, the banner backing the film, shared photos of Pari along with co-stars Ramya Ranganathan and Parithabangal fame Gopi meeting Sivakarthikeyan. In their note, the team expressed how meaningful it was to receive appreciation from someone they deeply admire, thanking him for taking the time to watch the film and cheer the team on.
The moment carries extra weight for Pari, who had earlier spoken about looking up to Sivakarthikeyan as a source of inspiration for entering the industry in the first place. He'd previously shared his hope to collaborate with the actor down the line — whether on a lighthearted project or something entirely different, like a gangster film, a genre Sivakarthikeyan hasn't tried yet.
Anbe Diana follows Pari's character, an easygoing young man, as he falls for an Anglo-Indian woman played by Ramya Ranganathan. Going by the trailer, the couple finds themselves caught between their families, with his mother pushing for Hindu customs and her father insisting on Christian traditions for the wedding. The film also features Roja Selvamani and Chetan in key roles.
Anbe Diana releases in theatres this Friday.
