Suriya 47 has officially wrapped principal photography, with Zhagaram Studios confirming the shoot completion on Thursday. Along with the announcement, the makers dropped a making video featuring a glimpse of a dashing Suriya in sunglasses, and tagged Netflix India South in the post — hinting at the film's OTT home after its theatrical run.

Directed by Jithu Madhavan in his Tamil directorial debut, the film stars Suriya alongside Nazriya Nazim and Naslen in their first collaboration together. Reports suggest Suriya plays an eccentric police officer leading a team of cops who mirror his personality, though the makers are yet to confirm plot details.

Sushin Shyam, who delivered fan-favourite tracks for Jithu's Romancham and Aavesham, makes his Tamil debut with the film's music. A release date and further details are yet to be announced.
