Gatta Kusthi 2 is heading to Netflix on July 31, following a blockbuster theatrical run that saw the film collect over Rs 55 crore globally in three weeks. Directed by Chella Ayyavu, the sequel emerged as Vishnuu Vishal's first Rs 50 crore-grossing film and a major profitable venture for the actor-producer.

The film continues the story of Veera and Keerthi as their marriage is tested by differing parenting styles and life choices, with the couple forced to confront what truly matters when divorce looms. It received generally positive reviews and performed strongly in Tamil Nadu's B and C centres.

Gatta Kusthi 2 is produced by Vishnuu Vishal alongside Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International, with Sean Roldan composing the music.
