Actor Suriya turns 49 soon, and it is expected that the Devi Sri Prasad composed Kanguva first single will release on July 23, 2024 (Tuesday), marking the actor's birthday. Kanguva is a big budget fantasy action, directed by Siva and produced jointly by Studio Green and UV Creations. The movie is scheduled for a Dussehra release on October 10, 2024 (Thursday).

So far, a 'Kanguva Sizzle Teaser' revealing Suriya and Bobby Deol's medieval characters, and a 'Kanguva Glimpse' unveiling the first look of Suriya, have released as Kanguva teaser videos. Team Kanguva currently has two more video cuts ready, one of which will release as Kanguva trailer. However Kanguva trailer will release close to August 2024, when the movie's VFX and graphics works are expected to be over.

Kanguva: A Mighty Valiant Saga is actor Suriya's first theatrical release as a lead, in the last 2+ years. Kanguva's OTT rights are with Amazon Prime Video, and the streaming platform officially revealed Kanguva's synopsis as 'a story that travels 500 years from 1700’s to 2023, about a hero who has to fulfil a mission left unfinished'.  Kanguva's audio rights are with Saregama music label.
