With Vishwanath And Sons slated for release on August 14, the makers have announced that the trailer will be unveiled on August 7. The announcement was made on Wednesday.
The film features Suriya playing an affluent single father, whose much younger employee, played by Mamitha Baiju, falls for him. The film is expected to explore emotional themes centred around intergenerational romance. It also stars Radikaa Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon, marking the latter's first Tamil film in about 25 years, after her last appearance in the Kamal Haasan starrer Aalavandhan back in 2001. The rest of the cast includes Nasser, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, Sarvadaman Banerjee, Mathew Varghese, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik and Master Charvik.
Suriya, who was last seen in RJ Balaji's Karuppu, will next headline his 47th film directed by Jithu Madhavan, which also stars Nazriya and Naslen. Mamitha Baiju, meanwhile, was last seen in Jana Nayagan and will next be seen in Nivin Pauly's Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, besides having Irandu Vaanam in her upcoming lineup.
Vishwanath And Sons is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas respectively, and is presented by Srikara Studios. Apart from music by GV Prakash, the technical team includes cinematographer Nimish Ravi, editor Navin Nooli and production designer Banglan.
