Recently we had reported that actor Ajith's upcoming movie AK 61 (tentative title), which is his third consecutive movie with director H. Vinoth, Boney Kapoor's Bay View Projects and the Zee Studios production banner has opted out of the Diwali race and will be releasing in theaters in December first week instead. Latest we hear, the makers are eyeing December 8, 2022 (Thursday) as AK 61's release date. An official announcement on the same is however awaited.

Touted to be a bank heist thriller, AK 61 is currently gearing up to resume shooting from the first week of July, 2022. The film is also expected to wrap shooting by August/September of this year. AK 61 has Ghibran for music and also stars Manju Warrier, Kavin in important roles.
