Actor Ajith's third consecutive movie with director H. Vinoth, producer Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios is tentatively referred to as AK 61 and the movie is touted to be a bank heist thriller inspired from real life incidents. AK 61 is currently gearing up to resume shooting from July 1st week and buzz is that this schedule will take place in Pune. A Chennai schedule is also on the cards before the movie wraps shooting by August/September this year.

In the meantime, word has it that AK 61 will not be releasing for Diwali this year as planned. Instead the movie will be hitting theaters screens by 1st week of December; An official confirmation on the same is however awaited. 

AK 61 also stars Manju Warrier, Veera, John Kokken, Mahanadhi Shankar among others and has Ghibran for music.
