Raj B Shetty has joined the cast of Sivakarthikeyan's Seyon, with the announcement made by Raaj Kamal Films International on Sunday, coinciding with the actor's birthday. "The cast gets stronger. The celebration gets bigger. Happy birthday, Raj B Shetty and welcome aboard," the banner wrote.

Known for acclaimed Kannada performances in Ondu Motteya Kathe, Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana and Toby, Raj B Shetty is already set to make his Tamil debut in Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Pocket Novel alongside Vijay Sethupathi. Seyon marks another Tamil project for the versatile actor.

Directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, Seyon reunites the filmmaker with Sivakarthikeyan after Thaai Kizhavi and is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International. The film also stars Bhagyashri Borse, Bala Saravanan and Aruldoss. Santhosh Narayanan composes the music, with the film targeting an October release.
