The censor process for Jana Nayagan, the much-anticipated final film of Chief Minister Joseph Vijay, has reportedly been completed, with only procedural formalities remaining before the CBFC formally issues the certificate to the makers. Once in hand, a theatrical release announcement is expected to follow almost immediately. If all goes to plan, the film will hit theatres later this July.
Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju and Prakash Raj alongside Vijay. The film has had a prolonged journey to release, with its certification becoming the subject of legal proceedings and repeated speculation over the past several months.
