The All India Suriya Fans Club has officially dismissed speculation about Suriya entering politics, clarifying that the actor has no such plans. The rumours had gained traction after former fan club speaker R Veeramani made remarks at a recent state and district administrators' meeting, saying, "If time decides, if God decides, no one can stop someone from becoming a people's leader."

The fan club clarified that Veeramani's comments were his personal opinion and noted that he has not been part of the forum's administration for the past three years. They cautioned fans against misleading interpretations circulating online, adding that Suriya finds fulfilment in continuing his charitable work through the Agaram Foundation, and urged everyone to rely only on official announcements.

On the work front, Suriya has Vishwanath & Sons releasing on August 14, alongside the untitled Suriya 47 and the newly announced Suriya 48 with TJ Gnanavel.
