Kavin's upcoming film with director Ram Sangaiah has been titled Per Sollum Pillai, with the title revealed through stills from the film's pooja ceremony held in Chennai on Friday. The title is shared with Kamal Haasan's 1987 film of the same name, directed by SP Muthuraman.

Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, known for Lubber Pandhu and Thug Life, plays the female lead, with Bala Saravanan also part of the cast. V Creations producer Kalaipuli S Thanu was seen clapping the board at the ceremony. The film is produced by S Lakshman Kumar and Venkatesh under Prince Pictures. Ram Sangaiah previously directed Thandatti, starring Rohini and Ammu Abhirami.
