Over the last few days, Twitter has been unveiling the list of topics that trended the most in 2021. Previously we had reported that yet to release Tamil film Valimai, starring Ajith Kumar in the lead was among the most tweeted about hashtags this year in Malaysia.

In India however Tamil film Master starring Vijay in the lead, was among the most tweeted hashtags in 2021. K-pop group BTS' all English single Permission to Dance, which was also the title of their recent four-day concert in LA, was the only other entertainment topic with most hashtags in India. 

It is worth mentioning here that Vijay and BTS had reigned the most tweeted hashtags in India, even in the first half of 2021.
