Twitter India has unveiled the official list of top 10 hashtags that dominated the social media scene in the first half of 2021. Between January 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021, 4 of the top 10 hashtags were related to Tamil star actors Ajith and Vijay. 

While Ajith's highly awaited release Valimai tops this list, Vijay's 2021 release Master is a close second. Actor Ajith's full name is at No. 4 while Vijay's upcoming movie Beast, which until its title reveal was referred to as Thalapathy 65 is  at No. 5. 

Popular K-pop group BTS and i heart awards are the only international entries in the list.
