The National Award winning film, Kakka Muttai, which has received a warm reception by critics and audience has achieved yet another feat. The film has been granted tax exemption in Karnataka. It is to be noted that this is the first time a Non Kannada movie has been given tax exemption in Karnataka state.

Kakka Muttai starring child actors Vignesh and Ramesh in the lead roles is directed by Manikandan. Music is by GV Prakash Kumar. The movie is jointly produced by Vetrimaran and Dhanush's Wunderbar Films.
