Karuppu, starring Suriya and directed by RJ Balaji, has locked its satellite partner, with Zee Tamil acquiring the rights ahead of its theatrical release on May 14.

The film features Trisha as the female lead, marking her reunion with Suriya after Aaru. The ensemble cast also includes Yogi Babu, Indrans, Sshivada, Swasika, Natty, Supreeth Reddy, and Anagha Maya Ravi. 

On the technical front, the film has music by Sai Abhyankkar, cinematography by GK Vishnu, editing by R Kalaivanan, and stunts by Vikram Mor. The film is backed by Dream Warrior Pictures. Meanwhile, Suriya also has Vishwanath & Sons with Venky Atluri and his next with Jithu Madhavan in the pipeline.
