Retro starring Suriya in the lead is scheduled to release on May 1, 2025, and advance bookings for the movie has already opened in the overseas location of UK. Retro USA advance bookings has now been announced to open on April 25, 2025, a whole 5 days before the film's release. 

Retro USA premiere will begin at 9 AM IST on coinciding with the Retro FDFS (first day first show) in India. Also starring Pooja Hegde in the lead, Retro is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and is a joint production venture of Jyotika and Suriya's 2D Entertainment, Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films. 

Prime Media is releasing Retro in USA. Retro advance bookings in Tamil Nadu open on April 27, 2025 at 4 PM.
