Actor Kavin's penchant for doing movies with trauma-backed stories continues with his latest outing, KISS, as revealed by the film's teaser. While in Lift (2021), Kavin was caught in the aftermath of IT industry trauma faced by his predecessors, in Dada (2023) he was a single father with a past trauma of his wife leaving him with his new born the day she birthed him.

In Star (2024), Kavin was facing traumas of an aspiring film artiste while in Bloody Beggar (2024), Kavin was yet again a single father who traumatized by his wife's death, hides that he is the dad from his own son. KISS teaser reveals that a traumatic incident involving school students, who are shown hanging amidst arson, makes Kavin viscerally disdained to the action of kiss itself. 

KISS marks the directorial debut of choreographer Sathish Krishnan. Preethi Anju Asrani plays female lead in the movie. The technical crew of KISS includes Jen Martin for music, Harish Kannan for cinematography,  RC Pranav for edits,  Peter Hein, Dinesh Subbarayan, Rambo Vimal for stunts, Vipin, Poorthi for costume design,  Vishnu Edavan, Ashique AR, Venu Selvan for lyrics,  Hocus Pocus for VFX, and  Knack Studios for DI. 

The film is a production venture of Romeo Pictures, and has Sony Music Entertainment India Pvt. Ltd as its music label.
