Kanguva starring actor Suriya in the lead released in theaters on November 14, 2024 (Thursday), and earlier this evening Studio Green, the banner behind the movie officially announced that the movie has grossed a whopping Rs. 89.32 crores in two days of box-office collections worldwide. 

Kanguva on day 1 also surpassed Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran in its overseas collections. Amaran however continues to be among the Top 5 day 1 box-office collections of Tamil movies this year.
