Sun Pictures, the production banner behind Rajinikanth's upcoming film Coolie has been revealing Coolie's cast, and the characters played by them, this past week. Latest to be revealed on board Coolie's ensemble is Kannada actor Upendra who plays 'Kaleesha' in this Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial. 

Prior to Upendra, actors Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Nagarjuna and Shruthi Haasan were revealed to play the characters Rajasekar, Sayal, Simon, and Preethi respectively.

Coolie is scheduled to release in 2025 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages. The film is touted to be an action thriller set against the backdrop of gold smuggling. The technical crew of Coolie includes Anirudh Ravichander for music, Girish Gangadharan for cinematography, and Philomin Raj for the edits.
