Suriya 44 (tentative title) is an upcoming Tamil movie that marks the maiden collaboration of actor Suriya and director Karthik Subbaraj. The movie said to be based on an environmental issue, has Santhosh Narayanan for music and is a joint production venture of Suriya's 2D Entertainment and Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films.

Latest on this movie is that actress Pooja Hegde has been approached to play Suriya 44's female lead; Malayalam actor Joju George who is currently part of Mani Ratnam-Kamal Haasan's Thug Life in Tamil is also said to be playing a pivotal role in Suriya 44. 

An official announcement on Suriya 44 cast is however awaited.
