Soodhu Kavvum (2013) is a Tamil-language black comedy crime film, written and directed by Nalan Kumarasamy in his directorial debut. A sequel to this Vijay Sethupathi blockbuster is coming out under the title Soodhu Kavvum 2, with actor Shiva in the lead, and under the writing, direction of S J Arjun. 

Producer CV Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment has returned a decade plus later to back Soodhu Kavvum 2, and they officially announced an update on this movie on Sunday. Soodhu Kavvum 2's first look release date has been confirmed to be March 22, 2024 [Friday]. Taking to the X platform, CV Kumar wrote,

"The God of Lord’s is back with the rib-tickling article of #SoodhuKavvum2. First look on March 22. Naadum Naatu Makkalum (The country and its people)"

It is worth mentioning here that a motion poster feat. Mirchi Shiva, was unveiled for Soodhu Kavvum 2 back in May 2023 (view below). Soodhu Kavvum 2 also stars Harisha, Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, M.S. Bhaskar, Karate Karthi, Ramesh Thilak, Yog Japee, Aruldoss, Kalki, Kavi, among others.
