One of actor's Rajinikanth's upcoming movies is Lal Salaam, which is written and directed by Rajini's director-daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The Superstar plays an extended cameo in this movie, which has cricket and communist elements to it. Earlier today, a click of Rajini with Indian cricketing legend Kapil Dev was doing the rounds. Now the makers have officially revealed that Kapil Dev plays a small role in the movie, and he will be seeing sharing space with Rajini himself.

Rajinikanth plays a Muslim character named 'Moideen Bhai' in Lal Salaam. His look in the movie is reminiscent of communist Muslim leaders, and the story takes place in Mumbai, India. Lal Salaam is bankrolled by Lyca Productions, and the film's technical crew includes A.R.Rahman for music, Vishnu Rangasamy for cinematography, Ramu Thangraj for art and B. Pravin Baaskar for edits.
