Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 aka PS2 is the highly awaited sequel to epic Tamil film Ponniyin Selvan, starring Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha among others. The movies directed by Mani Ratnam are based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's fictional story, based on real Chola history, and PS1 ended on a cliffhanger raising interest about what awaits in PS2. 

Ponniyin Selvan 2 releases in theaters on April 28, 2023 and in lieu of the same, the makers have unveiled a behind-the-scenes video featuring the lead actors and Jayaram, who plays as Azhwarkkadiyan Nambi, a spy working for Aniruddha Brahmaraayar. 

Produced by Madras Talkies, Lyca Productions, PS2 has AR Rahman for music, Ravi Varman for cinematography ans Sreekar Prasad for edits. Tips music holds the movie's audio rights, while Sun TV and Amazon Prime Video OTT platform are Ponniyin Selvan 2's satellite, and digital partners respectively.
