Natchathiram Nagargiradhu is filmmaker Pa. Ranjith's latest Tamil directorial and the movie released in theaters to positive critical reception on August 31, 2022. Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth who has worked with Pa. Ranjith on two movies recently caught a screening of the movie and is said to have called it Pa. Ranjith's best work yet. Sharing his reaction to the same, director Pa Ranjith wrote on Twitter:

Natchathiram Nagargiradhu stars Kalidas Jayaram, Kalaiarasan and Dushara Vijayan in the lead and is about the relationships that evolve among these characters. The film also explores the complexities of contemporary romance and the politics of love in today's world.
