Actor Vijay is gearing up for the release of his highly awaited hostage thriller Beast on April 13, 2022 worldwide. In USA, the movie is scheduled to release in a record breaking 1000+ screens in over 500 locations i.e. Tamil version in 345 and the Telugu dubbed version in 184 locations. This is a new high for Vijay, considering his widest release in USA so far has been his 2019 movie Bigil which came out in over 250+ screens in 150+ locations.

Bigil grossed $539 K (approximately Rs. 4 Cr. in today's value) from its USA premiere and opening day, so Beast is expected to do a number much higher than that. A Sun Pictures production, Beast is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and has Anirudh for music.
