The Tamil Nadu government is gearing up to announce night curfew in the state and in accordance to the same, the release of Ajith's upcoming movie Valimai has been postponed. Movie theaters in Tamil Nadu are already operating at only 50% occupancy since New Year and the night curfew would mean no night shows and adverse effects on the box-office. 

Possibilities of movie theaters being completely shut are also murmured and it remains to be seen what the TN government comes up with in its announcement tomorrow. Valimai is next expected to release in Summer, 2022.
