Director A.R. Murugadoss made his debut with a 2001 movie titled Dheena which starred Ajith and Laila in the lead. Little known fact about the super-hit movie is that director Alphonse Puthren of Neram, Premam fame had a small cameo in it.

Puthren who at that time was a Kollywood-aspirant had made his acting debut in the movie, and he appeared as one of the eve-teasers of actress Laila's character.

Recently fans dug out a video which depicts the scene featuring Alphonse Puthren (in blue and white, red and black t-shirts) and were found reminiscing stills from it.
