Vikram starrer Cobra was being shot in Russia when the Coronavirus pandemic forced them to abandon filming mid-way. Now, it is being said that Cobra will resume shooting from October first week i.e. next month and wrap by Diwali this year i.e. November, 2020. 

Cobra produced by 7 Screen Studios will be shooting locally since overseas travel is still a concern due to COVID-19. The film, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu plans to release in the Summer of 2021.
