The shooting of Ajith starrer 'Valimai' is progressing at a brisk pace. There has been a buzz on social media for the past few days that actor Prasanna has been approached by the team to play the antagonist in Ajith's film. Prasanna has shared a heartfelt note on his Twitter page confirming not being a part of the film. In the note he has said that though he was approached for a role opposite Thala, he regrets missing the opportunity and hopes to work with Ajith in the future.

Valimai is directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music. The female lead is yet to be finalised. Ajith essays a role of a cop in Valimai and the film is set to hit the screens for Diwali 2020.
