Keerthy Suresh opts out of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan and here's why

Keerthy Suresh who is on cloud nine after bagging a role in Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming rural entertainer 'Thalaivar 168 is at the same time feeling sad for opting out of Mani Ratnam's magnum-opus Ponniyin Selvan. The film started rolling in Thailand and Keerthy Suresh who was offered a role in this prestigious project had to forgo the opportunity due to date issues. 

 

Keerthy Suresh who got two offers of a lifetime had to decide between one of them. Reportedly, the 'Mahanati' actress has chosen to work with Superstar Rajinikanth. Due to delay in kick-starting Ponniyin Selvan, which has finally started rolling in Thailand, the actress couldn't allot the dates for the period-drama. Recently actor Parthiban also walked out of Mani Ratnam's film citing date issues. 

 

Sun Pictures recently announced that Keerthy Suresh as part of Thalaivar 168 directed by Siva. Keerthy who is busy with her other project commitments couldn't take part in the film's launch function which was held yesterday. She is a big line up of films in her kitty which includes Thalaivar 168, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham Maidaan, Miss India, Penguin, Good Luck Sakhi and Rang De.
