Namma Veetu Pillai which hit the screens worldwide on September 27 has witnessed a 'solid' opening at the Box Office. The film which opened to mostly positive reviews has been lapped up largely by the family audience especially in B and C centres in Tamilnadu. NVP has grossed Rs. 24+ cr at the Worldwide Box Office in its opening weekend. 

Domestic Box Office

Tamilnadu TN - Rs. 20+ cr

Karnataka -  Rs. 1 cr

Kerala -  Rs. 62 lakhs

Rest of India (ROI) -  Rs. 30 lakhs

The film has performed very well in TamilNadu by raking in around Rs. 20 cr in its opening weekend. The film collected Rs. 1.98 cr in Chennai city in 3 days. The collections have been steady on its fourth day as well. According to sources, NVP collected Rs. 37 lakhs taking the four days total to Rs. 2. 35 cr. In TN, the film is estimated to have grossed around Rs. 4 cr on Day 4.

With schools closed for pooja holidays, the film is expected to continue its steady run at the Box Office. The rural drama starring Siva Karthikeyan, Aishwariya Rajesh and Anu Emmanuel in the lead roles is directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures. Pandiraj has given the much-needed break for Siva Karthikeyan with NVP like his previous outings Marina and Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga.
