Mr. local Vs Thala 59: Sivakarthikeyan & Ajith share same release date for this reason?

Actor Sivakarthikeyan's 13th film Mr.local which has been directed by Rajesh and has Nayanthara playing female lead recenty announced that it will be releasing on May 1, 2019. This got the movie radar buzzing for another biggie Thala 59 (tentative title) which is the remake of Hindi hit film Pink and stars Ajith in the lead is also releasing on the same day.

However, industry sources tell us that Ajith's remake film which is directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor is taking time to be made and they believe the success of Ajith's last outing Viswasam, mounting pressure on the current film's makers might be the reason.

While there is no official word on Thala 59 being moved to a different release date, industry insiders believe Mr.Local's release date announcement leaves space for speculation.
