Sarkar: Plagiarism row hits A.R. Murugadoss yet again! Vijay starrer in trouble?

Over the years A.R. Murugadoss' name has been pulled in some huge plagiarism rows - be it for Ghajini (which was inspired from Mementoand later left Chirstopher Nolan 'upset' that he was neither credited nor mentioned in the Tamil/Hindi versions), or Kaththi (Aramm director Gopi Nainar fought tooth and nail alleging the script was his before the court passed a judgement otherwise). Now, the situation seems to have hit the director yet again, this time for his upcoming political thriller with Vijay - Sarkar.

Post the Sarkar teaser release which went on to break some huge YouTube records, a writer and assistant director by the name Varun Rajendran came forward with a claim that Sarkar's story is a replica of his own script Sengol. Since Varun Rajendran had registered the script with the Writer’s Union in 2007, he had filed a complaint against Murugadoss and the South Indian Film Writers Association  is currently investigating the case.

Media reports quote representatives of both parties to have confirmed such a development.
