Suriya starrer NGK directed by Selvaraghavan is one of the most awaited films in Kollywood. News has been doing the rounds on social media that the film has been dropped which has disappointed Suriya fans to a great extent. The fans were eagerly waiting for an official update to clarify the rumours surrounding the news. Producer SR Prabhu took to his Twitter page to state the news that is spreading is totally fake putting an end to all rumours.

Suriya's NGK is very much happening and the shooting is progressing as per plan. The film was initially slated for Diwali release but due to unforeseen circumstances the team couldn't complete the film shoot on time. The makers had officially announced that the film will release post Diwali and the exact release plan will be announced later.

On the other hand, Suriya has started shooting for KV Anand's Suriya 37 and the second schedule of the film is currently underway in Chennai. Suriya is seen sporting a new look for the film with a crew cut and looks suave. Since Suriya sports a different look in NGK, the team is waiting for Suriya to complete his current commitments to resume shooting for his portions in NGK.
