Siva Karthikeyan, Samantha starrer Seema Raja directed by Ponram hit the screens worldwide on September 13. The film opened to mixed reviews from both audience and critics alike and didn't quite live up to the hype. Due to good pre-release buzz and advance booking the film has managed to do good business in its opening weekend. It has collected Rs. 3.03 cr in  days at the Chennai Box Office. The weekend box office estimate is around Rs. 26 -27 cr for the film in TN. 

Seema Raja had a thunderous start at the Box Office by raking in Rs. 13.5 crore on its opening day. The film is the biggest opener ever for Siva Karthikeyan. The film leads at the Top position at the Chennai Box Office this week (September 13-16)

Today is a crucial day for the film as it is more important to sustain in the weekdays. After bagging mixed reviews, Seema Raja's performance in its first week is very pivotal for the trade as it has to face tough competition from Vikram starrer Saamy Square which is hitting the screens on September 20. Also, Samantha starrer U-Turn which released on the same day and Nayanathara's Imaikka Nodigal are having a good hold at the Box Office as well.
