KadaiKutty Singam leads over Tamizh Padam 2 at the Box Office

Two popular movies Tamizh Padam 2 and KadaiKutty Singam hit the theatres last week. While Tamizh Padam 2 released on Thursday (July 12), Kadaikutty Singam released a day later on July 13. Both the films have received positive response from both the audience and critics alike. The films are doing good business at the Box Office as well. Here's the day-wise breakup of both the films at the domestic box office (All India gross collection).

Kadaikutty Singam

Day 1 : Rs. 5.91 crore

Day 2 : Rs. 6.29 crore

Day 3 : Rs. 7.35 crore

Total: Rs. 19.55 crore

 

Tamizh Padam 2

Day 1 : Rs. 4.57 crore

Day 2 : Rs. 3.80 crore

Day 3 : Rs. 4.33 crore

Day 4 : Rs. 4.72 crore

Total - Rs. 17.42 crore

 

Shiva's Tamizh Padam 2 grabbed the Top spot at the Chennai Box Office this week collecting Rs. 2.03 crore as it released a day ahead of Kadaikutty Singam. The opening weekend box office figures clearly indicate that Karthi's KadaiKutty Singam leads over Tamizh Padam 2 at the Box Office.
Tamizh Padam 2 starring Shiva directed by CS Amudhan is a parody on Tamil Cinema while Karthi, Sayeesha starrer Pandiraj is a rural entertainer which deals with family values and agriculture as its core theme.
