Celebrating 10 years of Madhan Karky with 10 songs that re-introduced Tamil words!

Writer-lyricist Madhan Karky completes 10 years in the Tamil film industry today and as an ode to his milestone, here's a quick look at some of the notable highlights of his career. Though Madhan Karky came from a star background in the field of penning (his father is the famous writer Vairamuthu), he carved a name for himself in his initial days of the career itself; Karky rose to fame with Irumbiley from Enthiran where he collaborated with three power-houses - A.R. Rahman, Shankar and Rajinikanth and within 2 years of his debut and only on his 13th film, he was already seen recording his 50th song, a fast one in film industry time.

Karky has also worked as a dialogue writer for movies, notably Enthiran, Baajirao Mastani (Tamil version) and the Baahubali series (Tamil versions), with the Kiliki language he created for the Kalakeya tribes in Baahubali becoming widely popular among the audience. In 2016, Karky launched an online platform called Doo-Pa-Doo for promoting independent music and it has to some extent found its way in the Tamil film industry as well. In 2017, Karky known for his constant experiments wrote his first song in Tamil using only palindromes in the language.

Today the multi-faceted Madhan Karky stands tall with over 750 songs to his credit and in honour of his first decade in the industry, we decided to take a loot at 10 finest ever recorded work of his, that re-introduced some unique Tamil words, all the while making the songs a catchy one.
