Director Keerthiswaran has addressed speculation about a sequel to Dude, the romantic action comedy starring Pradeep Ranganathan.

The film, which released during the Deepavali festival last year, emerged as a box office success, reportedly earning over Rs 100 crore worldwide while also receiving positive responses from audiences.

With the trend of sequels gaining momentum in Tamil cinema, Keerthiswaran was recently asked at an event about the possibility of Dude 2. Responding with humour, the filmmaker said, “My body couldn't stand for just one Dude film,” effectively putting an end to rumours about a second instalment.

Meanwhile, another project featuring Pradeep Ranganathan could be heading towards a sequel. On his birthday earlier this year, the actor-filmmaker hinted that a follow-up to Dragon might be in development while responding to a social media post from director Ashwath Marimuthu. However, further details about the project remain under wraps.
