The makers of Kenatha Kanom, starring Yogi Babu, have released the film’s trailer. Directed by late filmmaker Suresh Sangaiah, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 13.
The trailer presents a drought-hit village where chaos erupts after dinosaur fossils are discovered while digging a well. Yogi Babu plays a temple priest who finds himself caught in the middle of the situation while trying to protect the village from government takeover.
Blending humour with social commentary, the film touches upon themes such as water scarcity, governance and the struggles of rural Tamil Nadu.
The cast also includes Lovelyn Chandrasekhar, Ramakrishnan, Raichel Rabecca, George Mariyan, Rajendran, Kavitha Bharathi and others.
Kenatha Kanom is produced by R Ramesh Babu and Jegan Baskaran under the RB Talkies and Box Office Studio banners. The film has music by Nivas K Prasanna, cinematography by V Thiyagarajan, editing by R Ramar and art direction by PL Subentar.
