The marital dispute between Vijay and his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam has reportedly taken a fresh turn. Sangeetha has filed an interim petition in the Chengalpattu court seeking financial maintenance and residential rights while their divorce proceedings remain pending.

In the plea, she has sought maintenance for herself and the couple’s two children, stating that Vijay earns substantial income from films and brand endorsements and should ensure a fair livelihood for the family during the legal process.

Sangeetha has also requested the court to grant her the right to stay at Vijay’s Neelankarai residence in Chennai, located at Kapaleeswarar Nagar. The petition reportedly states that she currently does not have a separate residence in the city and is seeking permission to continue living there until the divorce case reaches a resolution.

The development comes amid renewed social media speculation linking Vijay with actress Trisha Krishnan.
