Actor-director RJ Balaji has revealed that the release date of Karuppu starring Suriya will be announced within the next 7–10 days.

In a video shared on social media after returning to Tamil commentary during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, Balaji thanked fans for the positive response to his commentary and confirmed that work on Karuppu has resumed.

He also dismissed rumours of an April 10 release, stating that the team will soon officially announce the film’s release date. Balaji assured fans that the long wait will be worth it and urged them not to believe speculation about issues within the team.

Karuppu also stars Trisha Krishnan, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, and Anagha Maya Ravi. The film is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
