A few days back, it was officially announced that Pushkar-Gayathri directed Vikram Vedha is being remade in Hindi and that the original directors Pushkar and Gayatri will be helming the Hindi version as well. Original producer Y Not Studios is collaborating with Neeraj Pandey's Plan C Studios and Reliance Entertainment for bankrolling the Hindi version.
Though the film-makers are being tight-lipped about the cast and crew for now, an industry insider suggests that the cinematography of the Hindi remake will either have Nirav Shah, who has already done Dhoom 1&2, Wanted and Gabbar is Back among many others in Bollywood or P.S. Vinod, who is the original cinematographer of Vikram Vedha. It is worth mentioning here that Nirav Shah has worked with the director duo on their earlier two films Oram Po and Va Quarter Cutting and P.S. Vinod has done his share of films in Bollywood as well.
The chances of one of these two making the final cut seems highly likely, though nothing can be said for sure until the official announcement. A neo-noir crime thriller, Vikram Vedha was one of 2017's most successful Tamil films and now the Hindi remake has gotten everyone eagerly waiting for the cast and crew announcement.
